My New Year's resolution for 2014, is to have at least one project a month on the go. Let's see how long it lasts!
First up is a piece inspired by a window that caught my eye above a door at Coughton Court in Warwickshire.
After a bit of tweaking, duplicating, rotating and texturing, it became
this -

The final piece which is 8"x15", is worked on black cotton velvet, using metallic foil shapes attached with bondaweb and enhanced with gold thread free machining.
I think there may be a bit of Klimpt influence creeping in there - and a bit of Angie Hughes?
